An interesting route takes us to another mountain village in the municipality of Požega. Papratiste is located at an altitude of over 600 m above sea level. It is surrounded by the heights and rocky peaks of the slopes of Loret and Orovica, which, together with the sharp mountain air, creates a special ambiance. The village offers fantastic views of the neighboring mountains such as Debela Gora, Ovčar and Kablar. This is a mountainous and physically demanding route, so we advise you to carefully assess your physical abilities before setting off.

The route leads us to the village of Gugalj and the main road, which has been significantly relieved of traffic after the construction of the highway, making cycling incomparably calmer than before. We are heading towards the village of Jelen Do and on this section, special caution is necessary when passing through the “Kratovska stena” tunnel, which, although illuminated, can be dangerous for cyclists. Light signaling is mandatory so that you are as visible as possible to other road users.

Less than 3 km after the tunnel, we will turn left towards the village of Jelen Do and exit the main road. First, we will pass through Jelen Do, and then continue towards Papratishte, a 5 km long climb. With every new meter of climb you “conquer” you will be rewarded with new views and details that make the adventure! There are no bicycle signs on the route, so we recommend downloading the .gpx file.
