The slopes of Maljen in the Tometino Polje area, beside hiking, offer spectacular cycling routes. The first in a series is an attractive, circular route that takes you through several mountain villages. We start in Tometino Polje and immediately after crossing Crna Kamenica, a sharp climb awaits us, as well as the beginning of a macadam section, which means that this route cannot be ridden by road, but only by mountain or gravel bike. After exiting the pass, a short, sharp descent to the Kozlica River awaits you. From the first pass, there are fantastic views of the entire region, so the effort will definitely be rewarded!

After crossing the bridge at Kozlica, we are faced with the most difficult segment of the entire route – a steep climb to the adjacent ridge, where we join a slightly wider and better macadam road that will take only another 1.5 km. The beauty of the landscape and the special ambience of the slopes of Maljeno provide plenty of opportunities to take the perfect photo from your two-wheeler! Re-entering the paved road means the start of a steep descent all the way to the Kamenica River in Mršelji. Be especially careful on the several switchbacks! After crossing the Kamenica, you will climb to the village of Dushkovci and join the main, regional road that will lead you through the village of Ljutice back to Tometino Polje and the starting point. There is no signage on the route, so it is necessary to have a .gpx file downloaded to your device.
